The Illinois Irish Basketball Program is an exciting opportunity to help promote both athletics and academics to Central Illinois Area Athletes.  For the last 12 years, the Illinois Irish Basketball Program has provided young athletes (from over 95 different High Schools) with an opportunity to compete in nationally recognized basketball tournaments throughout the spring and summer months which college coaches and scouts from across the country attend. The program helps those involved to grow as individuals on and off the court by helping them understand and develop qualities like: dedication, commitment, work ethic, teamwork, toughness, strategy, perseverance, and professionalism.

The Illinois Irish Basketball program is comprised of at least 14 teams. We will have 7 age levels of boy’s teams (11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 year olds) and at 3 age levels of girl’s teams (14, 15, 17 year olds) that represent Central Illinois best athletes in the sport of basketball.

Each team will play in approximately 40-50 games over the spring and summer with events taking place in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Texas, and Wisconsin. Through the schedule we play and the success of our teams, the Illinois Irish Basketball Program is proud to say that 120 out of the 120 players we have produced (2009-2016) have attended college (114 collegiate basketball players, 5 collegiate football, 1 Team Manager of Basketball Team at D1 University).  We also have 28 more players that will commit to colleges this year in our 2017 class. 2 of them have already committed and signed with D1 or D2 universities. This will also be the first class for our girls program.

While our course is set and our vision is clear, the Illinois Irish Basketball Program still needs help to make this experience possible. The normal player fee varies between $700 and $800 every year. Your sponsorship will help provide for program expenses including uniforms, tournament entry fees, facility rentals, equipment, travel, insurance, lodging, etc.  This contribution will help ensure that all these young athletes will be provided with the best opportunities they need to succeed.

We have helped produce over four million dollars ($4,000,000) in athletic scholarships for our players in our first eight graduating classes (2009- 2016) and we focus on continuing to make that amount climb every year.  We are asking for your support to help make this all possible and allow these young athletes to hopefully use basketball as a tool to further their education after high school. The Illinois Irish Basketball Program is established as a 501(C) 3 Corporation, and your contribution will be fully tax deductible.
